Party like it’s 1812

To commemorate the bicentennial of the War of 1812, several historic sites along Great Road in Lincoln will join together Saturday to offer free tours, exhibits and special presentations. Venues include the Hearthside House Museum, the Eleaszer Arnold House, Saylesville Friends Meeting House, Hannaway Blacksmith Shop, Valentine Whitman House, North Gate/Blackstone Valley Historical Society and the Wilbur Kelly House. The Arnold House will feature a special exhibit entitled “War of 1812: A Nation Forged by War,” which was created by the National Museum of the U.S. Navy. When: Saturday, Sept. 29, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Where: Various historic locations along Great Road, Lincoln Additional Information: This event is free and open to the public.
